Licensed Psychologist in McLean, VA

I enjoy conducting psychological assessments and have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. In my assessment work, I strive to gain a comprehensive understanding of the individual and then share conclusions and recommendations in an approachable, understandable way. My primary interest within the field revolves around trauma and the impact this has on emotional and behavioral functioning throughout the lifespan.

I have worked in an inpatient hospital, community mental health clinic, and a private practice, as well as served as an expert witness in court. I also supervise trainees at various levels, having worked with practicum students, doctoral interns, and post-doctoral interns.

I have a strong background in assessment, having worked with children and adolescents to conduct competency to stand trial evaluations, amenability to treatment evaluations, neuropsychological testing, psychosexual and firesetter risk assessments, and mental health evaluations to help recommend the appropriate mental health services and connect families with resources. I also enjoy working with adults, conducting neuropsychological evaluations, mental health evaluations, parenting evaluations, and outpatient therapy. I have worked with children and adolescents involved with the juvenile justice system, as well as child protective services.

While my experience does extend to forensic evaluations, I also greatly enjoy working with families in the community seeking clarity about diagnoses. This includes assessments for Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Specific Learning Disorders, Intellectual Disorders, personality disorders, and emotional concerns.

I have a history of conducting therapy as well, specifically individual outpatient therapy, and have worked with all ages, though primarily adolescents and young adults. I was trained under the Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy model, but tend to be more eclectic and adapt to meet individual needs.

I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the George Washington University in 2014, then earned a Master of Arts and Doctorate in Psychology from Immaculata University, graduating in 2020.
